Systems Channel News Roundup for the week of August 17-August 21, 2009.

Business intelligence software adoption remains strong

A new survey by Forrester Research Inc. finds that enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses see a bright future in business intelligence (BI) software and investments.

The survey responses came from more than 1,000 North American and European companies, including Subway, Wawanesa Mutual Insurance, LinkedIn, Haskell Co. and Bliss spas, according to SearchDataManagement.com.

Sixty-eight percent of respondents said they have or are in the process of piloting, implementing or expanding BI software developments, and only 1% plan on pulling back on BI software. None of the respondents intend to stop using BI software that they had already implemented.
