Tech Data preps VARs for federal spending
Tech Data Corp. is preparing for more than $75 billion in federal IT spending by extending sales hours, offering additional support for products and services and adding new General Services Administration letters of supply.
The new TechEDG team is an assembled group of public-sector sales and services experts who assist VARs that are looking for money from the economic stimulus plan.
Dell certifies Kace systems management appliance
Dell Inc. has combined its PowerEdge Server and Business Client Update Service with Kace's KBOX family of systems management appliances.
The KBOX products are certified through the Dell ISV partner program and Kace customers can now subscribe to the Dell Business Client and Server Update services.
KBOX assists IT administrators in following the development of the latest Dell Update Packages and keeping Dell systems current with Dell BIOS and driver updates. The KBOX systems management appliance has several new features, including the ability to easily define flexible scheduling policies and regular reporting of progress in updated systems.
