Vendor Management Strategies for the CIOGreen House Data adds new partner program
Green House Data, a 100% green data center that offers cloud hosting services, unveiled a new partner program for VARs looking to offer end-to-end support for customers.
The program will offer partners sales training and up to 50% monthly margins over the length of their contracts. According to PR.com, Green House Data says that it wants to help partners provide pre-sales consulting and sales support for areas such as managed servers and storage, dedicated infrastructure, disaster recovery and offsite backup.
HP tests out Windows 8 on the TouchPad
Though HP end-of-lifed its TouchPad back in August, the company’s developers are exploring proof-of-concept work with the Windows 8 Developers Release.
Since it recently announced that its PC division would stay intact and webOS’s future is still up in the air, HP is attempting to see how the yet-to-be-released version of Windows works on the defunct tablet. HP CEO Meg Whitman tempered expectations for the HP/Windows 8 partnership, saying it would have a tough time competing against other tablets.
